THE EVENT

[d]arc sessions takes place twice a year – once in Europe and once in Asia and comprises four key elements: Speed + Sync meetings; Symposia speaker sessions; Sustenance breakouts; and Social celebrations.

Our numbers are strictly limited, with a guarantee of more specifying companies than supplying companies in attendance. This is not a trade show or sprawling industry forum. It’s an intimate, selective, and focused group with time for one another.

Every specifier attending [d]arc sessions is carefully selected, vetted, and authenticated to ensure our suppliers are meeting genuine decision-makers with purchasing power, actively working on live lighting projects.

In an era when every business trip must be accounted for, the [d]arc sessions pledge is simple: Suppliers will only meet specifiers actively working on international lighting projects.

Suppliers will have a minimum of 18 x 20-minute meetings – pre-arranged – with an exclusive list of top international specifiers: lighting designers, interior designers and architects.

[d]arc sessions is a new way to specify products, source projects and share ideas and it aims to transform your chances of being specified for lighting projects all over the world.

Alongside the Speed + Sync networking sessions, [d]arc sessions features thought-provoking content from leading lighting experts, through a series of presentations and panel discussions, curated by the editorial team behind arc and darc magazines.

These include exclusive, insightful talks on [d]arc award winning projects, delivered by the winning designers themselves as well as covering all the hot topics in the industry – from sustainability to circular economy to lighting equity and more.

Previous keynote speakers include: Eleftheria Deko of Eleftheria Deko and Associates; Michael Grubb of Michael Grubb Design Studio; and Zoi Katsarou of Metis Lighting.

Hardwired for today’s fast-changing world and its challenges, the event creates space for our guests to meet on an intimate scale in beautiful neutral surroundings.

[d]arc sessions represents a cost effective alternative to big, international trade shows, in order to meet and build relationships with top specifiers of the biggest lighting projects around the world.

Conversations kickstarted by our formal [d]arc sessions meetings continue into casual networking opportunities, which are interspersed throughout – be it a breakfast catch-up, coffee, light lunch, or a breakout walk along the beach.

We come together as friends to unwind as the sun sets. Social sessions may include organised dinners, on-property or outside the resort, free-time, or hosted excursions to explore our surroundings at your leisure.
